The main subject of „artifacts” are works of art which once had defined role in their author’s careers and now are in my family house. These objects are natural for me as toys, memories of childhood, devoid of the seriousness of the work from the one hand, but from the other – artefacts filling the space of art, such as Henryk Stażewski’s “Spoon” or a fraction of the „Ten Commandments” from Zbigniew Warpechowski’s performance.
I choose polaroids as a medium for my documentation, to make it just as unique and unrepeatable as analyzed objects. I decided to share the series of works on couple parts – different dimensions of visual ensembles: the first is a process, some kind of playing with various objects; next is a catalogue of objects; and the last – reveals the authors of those works.
Authors of the works are: Wojciech Bruszewski, Ryszard Grzyb, Marek Konieczny, Edward Krasiński, Jacek Kryszkowski, Edward Łazikowski, Włodzimierz Pawlak, Andrzej Partum, Józef Robakowski, Zygmunt Rytka, Mikołaj Smoczyński, Antonii Starczewski, Władysław Strzemiński, Henryk Stażewski and Zbigniew Warpechowski.
Work was presented during Blask Brzask Contemporary Art Festival in Łódź (9.06.2017)
